The college establishes a College Academic Committee (CAC) tasked with devising both long-term and short-term developmental strategies aligned with the academic policies of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University.

ABOUT THE EXAM CELL:

  • The Examination Cell established since the college affiliated to the University of Manonmaniam Sundaranar (MS).
  • The cell consists Chief Coordinator and other respective subordinates, which is functioning as the backbone of the college.
  • The College has sufficient infrastructure for conducting all examinations.
  • The Chief Coordinator office is vested with the responsibility of organizing and conducting both Internal and External Examinations.
  • The cell having meticulous care with every student of our college throughout their career and rendering support with all kind of verifications.

OBJECTIVES:

  • To improve the quality of examination and evaluation so as to ensure the credibility of the Examination system for the betterment of students.

AIM
The aim of the mentoring program is to establish a trusting relationship with accountability and responsibility from the mentor and mentee.

OBJECTIVES

  • The focus of the mentoring program is on the rehabilitative needs of the offender using a continuum of care creating a growing, healthy relationship.
  • Professional and personal skills development are supported through mentoring that focuses on such areas as acculturation, priority setting, networking, career planning and counseling related to the individual’s (mentee’s) identified goals toward advancement in their field.


Aim:

The Discipline and Welfare Committee is concerned with the responsibility for the general and the specific well-being of students. This has been formed with the sole intention to act as an interface between the management and student. The committee administers decisions concerning student welfare, taking up issues reported by students and resolving them by bringing it to the notice of the Principal & Administrator.

 

Objective:

The objective of the Discipline and Welfare Committee is:

  • To maintain discipline in the institution by corrective or punitive action against acts of indiscipline and disruption by students in the institute.
  • To mold the students to maintain good character, discipline and decorum in the college premises. 
  • To inculcate the feeling to all the students that if any student is found indulging in any in-disciplinary act or any other undesirable, illegal, antisocial or destructive activities in the college and/or Hostel premises, suitable disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.
  • To suggest and decide the recommendations of the punishment/penalty to be imposed upon the student.

AIM

The Research Cell aims to nurture research culture in the student, teachers and faculties by encouraging research in newly emerging and challenging areas of education and in its multidisciplinary fields like ICT, humanities, social sciences etc. This enhances the general research capability of budding technocrats by way of participating in conferences, seminars, workshops, project competition etc.

OBJECTIVES

  • To motivate the faculty members for R&D activities to initiate innovation, projects and collaborations, enriching the academic environment of the college.

The objective of the students Grievance Redressal cell is to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in JPCAS.

AIMS OF NSS PROGRAMME/ACTIVITIES

NSS programme should provide a variety of learning experiences which must develop a sense of participation, service and achievement among the volunteers. The activities should aim at the following:

  • Making education more relevant to the present situation to meet the felt needs of the community and supplement the education of the University/college students by bringing them face to face with the rural situation,
  • Providing opportunities to the students to play their role in planning and executing development projects which not only help in creating durable community assets in rural areas and urban slums but also results in the improvement of quality of life of the economically and socially weaker sections of the community,
  • Encouraging students and non-students to work together along with the adults in rural areas,
  • Developing qualities of leadership by discovering the latent potential among the campers, both students as well as local youth (Rural and Urban) with a view to involve them more intimately in the development programme and also to ensure proper maintenance of the assets created during the camps,
  • Emphasising dignity of labour and self-help the need for combining physical work with intellectual pursuits, and
  • Encouraging youth to participate enthusiastically in the process of national development and promote national integration, through corporate living and cooperative action.

Aim:

  • The aim of the Youth Red Cross is to instill civic responsibilities and humanitarian concern  in students, fostering a sense of duty and dedication.
  • It also aims to promote friendly relationships without discrimination.

Objectives:

The objectives of the Youth Red Cross include:

  •  Conducting social and health awareness programs
  •  Promoting awareness about personal and public health care
  •  Encouraging students to provide humanitarian services to society

The college minority cell aims to support and empower minority communities within the college, particularly those from Christian or Muslim backgrounds, in their academic progress.
