JP College of Arts & Science is an institution of DFT foundation under the congregation of DMI and MMI. Daughter of Mary Immaculate and Collaborators (DMI) and Missionaries of Mary Immaculate and Collaborators (MMI) are international Religious congregations approved by the authority of His Holiness the Pope through the respective dioceses of the Catholic Church to work internationally. Rev. Fr. J.E. ARULRAJ the Founder and Chairman of DFT group of Institutions has a vision to provide disciplined life with a spiritual base to remain fully alive and fully human.
JP College of Arts& Science offers superlative conditions to students to pursue their academic programme. The college was started in the year 2007 by Grace Swaminathan Educational & Charitable Trust as a Christian Minority Institution. From the year 2012 the college is managed by DMI Foundation Trust.
The institution is located in a sprawling area of about 50 acres of land at Agarakattu between Tenkasi and Ayikudy Town Panchayat, in Tenkasi District. The college is situated in an evergreen environment emanating peace and tranquility creating an atmosphere conducive for learning. The vicinity of the Western Ghats which bring drizzle and breeze sustain the climate pleasant and cool throughout the year. The famous tourist centre Courtallam falls is situated near by our College.
The college is affiliated to the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. The college offer 13 UG courses, 4 PG courses and two M. Phil courses.
The college has a spacious hostel for both boys and girls. The inmates of the hostel are well taken care of by wardens and DMI sisters. College bus transport facility is also provided to the students travelling from various places.
The DFT wish is to provide quality higher education at global standard of facilities to make a holistic development in human personality and institutionalize a zeal in them to work for the growth of the Nation.
